I first traveled to the Himalayas in 1989, where I spent several weeks trekking in the Annapurna Mountain Range. The natural beauty and special character of the area has drawn me back year after year.

Over the last 22 years I have been a frequent visitor to all parts of India. The diversity of this country is immense, from beautiful beaches, exotic wildlife, ancient temples, to the soaring peaks of the Himalayas. Its people are very special and every visit there is a unique experience.

The word "Veda" means knowledge, and India is known as "the land of the Veda". It is a country steeped in ancient knowledge and legends.

Veda Travels was born from the idea of using our experience to put together some very special journeys to India.  Travelling in India does pose its challenges, and our aim is to offer a safe and friendly enviornment in which people get to experience the beauty that this country has to offer. Normally there are a minimum of 15 people on any tour, so if you wanted to see India but not on your own, our tours are an ideal way.

The groups we take tend to have a very diverse age profile, our June 2010 trek to the source of the Ganges, included two people over 70, one person in their 20's and  many in their 40's and 50's.

We have developed three very distinct journeys to India.

Our Himalayan journeys tend to me more arduous and the treking requires a certain level of fitness, so take a look at the detailed descriptions below and feel free to contact us if you require any further information.

My main occupation is running the Ayurveda centre in Dublin, promoting traditional Indian healthcare, a natural based system of healthcare fully supported by the World Health Organisation.. You can follow the links below if you wish to find out more.
