This 8-day Himalayan journey is a calm and scenic experience through Kalimpong, Gangtok, and Darjeeling. It starts in the peaceful hill town of Kalimpong, continues to the vibrant streets and viewpoints of Gangtok, and then moves to Darjeeling, known for its tea gardens and sweeping mountain views.A short excursion to Mirik brings a quiet break with its serene lake and green surroundings before returning to Darjeeling to complete the trip. The journey flows at an easy pace, offering fresh mountain air, gentle landscapes, and simple moments that make the experience truly memorable.

Itinerary Details

Day 1: Arrival at Bagdogra – Drive to Kalimpong (approx. 3–4 hrs)

On arrival at Bagdogra Airport or NJP Railway Station, begin your journey towards Kalimpong, a शांत and less crowded hill town. The drive takes you through winding mountain roads, river valleys, and lush greenery, setting the tone for your trip. After reaching, check in to your hotel and spend the rest of the day at leisure, enjoying the calm surroundings and fresh mountain air.

Day 2: Kalimpong Local Sightseeing

After breakfast, head out to explore Kalimpong’s key attractions. Visit Deolo Hill for panoramic views of the mountains, followed by Durpin Dara Hill and its peaceful monastery. You can also explore the famous cactus nursery and local flower markets, which add a unique charm to the town. The day is relaxed, allowing you to soak in the slow pace and quiet beauty of Kalimpong.

Day 3: Kalimpong – Gangtok by drive

Post breakfast, drive towards Gangtok, the lively capital of Sikkim. The journey is scenic with river views and green hills accompanying you along the way. On arrival, check in to your hotel and later step out to MG Marg, a popular spot for cafes, shopping, and evening walks.

Day 4: Gangtok Excursion Tours

After breakfast, explore the highlights of Gangtok. Visit Tashi View Point for stunning Himalayan views, followed by Ganesh Tok and Hanuman Tok. You can also visit Enchey Monastery and the Flower Exhibition Centre. Optional activities like the ropeway ride offer a different perspective of the city. Return to your hotel and relax in the evening.

Day 5: Gangtok – Darjeeling by drive

After breakfast, begin your drive to Darjeeling, known for its colonial charm and tea estates. The route offers beautiful views of hills and valleys. Upon arrival, check in to your hotel and spend the evening strolling around Mall Road, enjoying the cool weather and lively atmosphere.

Day 6: Darjeeling Local Sightseeing

Start early with a visit to Tiger Hill to witness a breathtaking sunrise over Mt. Kanchenjunga. Later, visit Batasia Loop and Ghoom Monastery. Continue your sightseeing with attractions like the Himalayan Mountaineering Institute, tea gardens, and the Himalayan Zoo. Return to your hotel after a fulfilling day.

Day 7: Darjeeling – Mirik – Darjeeling by drive

After breakfast, take a scenic excursion to Mirik, a peaceful destination known for its lake and pine forests. Spend time enjoying boating, lakeside walks, or simply relaxing in nature. By evening, return to Darjeeling and enjoy your last night in the hills.

Day 8: Darjeeling Departure

After breakfast, check out from your hotel and drive back to Bagdogra Airport or NJP Railway Station. The journey back marks the end of your memorable Himalayan trip filled with scenic views and peaceful moments.
