Itinerary Details

Day 1: Arrive Ahmedabad

Arrive in Ahmedabad and transfer to your hotel. After check-in, begin exploring the city with visits to Sabarmati Ashram, a peaceful retreat associated with Mahatma Gandhi. Later, visit the Adalaj Stepwell, known for its intricate carvings, and Akshardham Temple (if time permits). Enjoy a relaxed evening and overnight stay in Ahmedabad.

Day 2: Ahmedabad – Vadodara by drive

After breakfast, drive to Vadodara (approx. 2–3 hours). En route, you may visit Champaner-Pavagadh Archaeological Park, a UNESCO World Heritage Site featuring ancient forts, mosques, and temples. On arrival in Vadodara, check in to your hotel and visit the grand Laxmi Vilas Palace and Sayaji Gardens. Overnight stay in Vadodara.

Day 3: Vadodara – Jambughoda by drive

Post breakfast, proceed to Jambughoda (approx. 1–2 hours), a serene destination known for its forests and tribal culture. On arrival, check in at a forest resort. Spend the day enjoying nature walks or exploring nearby tribal villages and scenic landscapes. Overnight stay in Jambughoda.

Day 4: Jambughoda

After breakfast, enjoy a full day at leisure amidst nature. You can visit Jambughoda Wildlife Sanctuary, go for bird watching, or explore nearby attractions like Kada Dam and Zarwani Waterfalls. The peaceful environment offers a refreshing break. Overnight stay in Jambughoda.

Day 5: Jambughoda – Lothal – Palitana by drive

After breakfast, drive towards Palitana with a stop at Lothal, one of the prominent cities of the Indus Valley Civilization. Explore the archaeological site and museum showcasing ancient dockyards and artifacts. Continue your journey to Palitana, a significant Jain pilgrimage destination. Check in to your hotel and relax. Overnight stay in Palitana.

Day 6: Palitana – Gondal – Wankaner by drive

Early morning, visit the sacred Shatrunjaya Hills in Palitana, home to hundreds of intricately carved Jain temples (a climb of several steps is involved). After descent and breakfast, proceed to Gondal to visit Naulakha Palace and vintage car collections. Continue to Wankaner and check in at your heritage hotel. Overnight stay in Wankaner.

Day 7: Wankaner – Ahmedabad by drive

After breakfast, explore Wankaner’s heritage attractions including Ranjit Vilas Palace, known for its royal architecture and scenic location. Later, drive back to Ahmedabad (approx. 5–6 hours). On arrival, check in to your hotel and enjoy the rest of the day at leisure or shopping in local markets. Overnight stay in Ahmedabad.

Day 8: Ahmedabad Departure

After breakfast, check out from the hotel and transfer to the airport or railway station for your onward journey with memorable experiences of Gujarat’s heritage and culture.
