This 7-day trip is a smooth journey through the hills, beginning with the lively feel of Gangtok and a visit to the beautiful Tsomgo Lake. From there, the route moves into the quiet surroundings of Pelling, then to the relaxed charm of Kalimpong, and finally to Darjeeling, known for its tea gardens and mountain views.The experience flows at a comfortable pace, offering a mix of scenic drives, peaceful stops, and memorable Himalayan landscapes.

Itinerary Details

Day 1: Bagdogra – Gangtok by drive

On arrival at Bagdogra Airport or NJP Railway Station, begin your scenic drive to Gangtok. The journey winds along the Teesta River with beautiful views of hills and valleys. On reaching Gangtok, check in to your hotel and relax. In the evening, you can take a gentle walk around MG Marg to soak in the local vibe.

Day 2: Gangtok – Tsomgo Lake / Baba Mandir

After breakfast, set out for a memorable excursion to Tsomgo Lake, a stunning high-altitude lake surrounded by mountains. Continue to Baba Mandir, a revered shrine with a unique story attached to it. The cool mountain air and peaceful surroundings make this day special. Return to Gangtok by evening and relax.

Day 3: Gangtok – Pelling by drive

Post breakfast, drive to Pelling, a quiet town known for its close views of Mt. Kanchenjunga. The journey is scenic with forests and small villages along the way. On arrival, check in and spend the rest of the day at leisure, enjoying the calm and natural beauty.

Day 4: Pelling – Kalimpong by drive

After breakfast, explore a bit of Pelling before heading towards Kalimpong. You may visit places like Pemayangtse Monastery or Rabdentse Ruins (time permitting). Continue your drive to Kalimpong and check in on arrival. The evening is free to relax in this peaceful hill town.

Day 5: Kalimpong – Darjeeling by drive

Post breakfast, you can visit local attractions like Deolo Hill or the cactus nursery before driving to Darjeeling. The route offers lovely mountain views and tea gardens. On arrival, check in and enjoy an evening walk along Mall Road.

Day 6: Darjeeling Tour

Start early with a visit to Tiger Hill to witness the sunrise over Mt. Kanchenjunga. Later, visit Batasia Loop and Ghoom Monastery. Continue with local sightseeing including tea gardens, Himalayan Mountaineering Institute, and the zoo. Return to your hotel after a fulfilling day.

Day 7: Darjeeling Departure

After breakfast, check out from your hotel and drive back to Bagdogra Airport or NJP Railway Station with wonderful memories of the mountains.
